17-Year Old Musher Edges Out Sled Dog Veteran in the Race to the Sky

The last time Jessie Royer crossed the finish line of the Race to the Sky sled dog race was in 1994 when she was 17 years old.She won that race, making her the first woman and the youngest musher to win Race to the Sky.On Tuesday, Royer, now 36 of Darby, crossed the Race to the Sky finish line for the second time, although this time she crossed in second place.Alea Robinson, 17 of Eagle River, Alaska, won first place in this year’s 350-mile race.Read more here: http://www.greatfallstribune.com/article/20130212/NEWS01/302120006/17-year-old-musher-edges-out-sled-dog-veteran-Race-Sky?nclick_check=1
