Mushing is Trademarked

After more than 13 months we have our trademark!

One of the first things we did was find out if Mushing had been trademarked and to our surprise, it had not.

We filed our application and over many attorney meetings and back and forth with the United States Patent and Trademark Office it was issued today.

That means several things:

1. Prevent competitors from using a similar name

2. Protect your brand identity

3. Establish legal ownership of your brand, deter copycats

4. Gain the ability to take legal action against infringement if someone tries to use your name without permission

It was determined that the first use in commerce was in 1987 and that is noted on our registration as well.

So where possible we will use the “mark” Mushing® including fully branding our podcast with that name as well.
