Jim Lanier presents “Beyond Ophir Confessions of an Iditarod Musher, An Alaska Odyssey”

Tuesday, Oct 8 5:00p to 7:00p, UAA Campus Bookstore, Anchorage, AKJim Lanier moved to Alaska in 1967 to work at the Native Hospital with the US Public Health Service. After 33 years of service, he retired as a pathologist at Providence Hospital. In 1977 Jim began mushing and ran his first Iditarod in 1979. Never having scratched, he has now entered and completed an unbelievable 15 Iditarods! Don’t meet this opportunity to meet An Alaska legend & his 4 legged guest, May.
