Texas Boy with Fatal Illness Becomes Alaska ‘Soldier for a Day’ During Iditarod

A young lad from deep in the heart of Texas with a life-threatening medical condition had his wish come true this week when the Alaska National Guard made him soldier for a day and took him out on the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race.Nathan Rothe, a 9-year-old Dallas boy, wished for nothing more than to experience The Last Great Race.
